Afghanistan delivered a spirited performance but came up just short against Pakistan in an exciting ICC World Cup 2019 clash at Headingley.

Pakistan clinched its target of 228 in the final over of the contest, with two balls to spare. It huffed and puffed to the finishing line, losing seven wickets.

Seamer Shaheen Afridi and left-arm spinner Imad Wasim were the chief contributors to the win.
