David Warner and Aaron Finch added 121 runs for the first wicket against Bangladesh.

David Warner and Aaron Finch put up their seventh 100-plus partnership for the first wicket when the duo went hammer and tongs against Bangladesh in a World Cup league match at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

The duo added 121 in 20.5 overs before Rubel Hossain, at short third man, took an easy catch to send Finch back off Soumya Sarkar.

Finch and Warner were clinical in their shot making and both didn't had to break a sweat as the Bangladesh fielders were chasing leather.

Follow Australia vs Bangladesh

Bangladesh did get a chance early when Warner, on 10, was grassed by Sabbir Rahman at backward point, off Mashrafe Mortaza. The fielder appeared to not see the ball properly against the backdrop of the crowd.

Finch was the aggressor from the start, getting off the mark with a boundary off the first ball he faced. The highlight though was the six over covers off Mortaza that had class written all over it.

Australia is currently third in the table, with four wins from five games. Bangladesh, following its impressive seven-wicket win over the West Indies, is fifth.
