Halogen lamps are being used to dry up the outfield at Old Trafford on the eve of the India-Pakistan World Cup 2019 match.

Heavy rains lashed Manchester on Saturday afternoon. More rains are forecast for Sunday morning. India's World Cup 2019 match against New Zealand at Trent Bridge, Nottingham was washed out without a ball being bowled. Both India and Pakistan would hope the rains relent on match day.

The Cricket World Cup 2019, with four rained out matches, already has the most number of no result/abandoned games since the tournament started in 1975.
