Jofra Archer and Mark Wood took three wickets each as England bowled West Indies out for 212 in 44.4 overs in Southampton on Friday.

After put in to bat, West Indies lost Evin Lewis (2) early and Chris Gayle (36) also couldn't do much after getting a reprieve on 15. Then it was Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran who put up a 89-run stand before Joe Root's double-strike pegged back West Indies recovery.

Hetmer (39) and Jason Holder (9), both, became caught and bowled dismissals of Root in quick succession. There was no resistance after that with Archer and Wood ripped through the lower order.

Pooran top-scored with a 78-ball 63, while Wood finished with figures of 3 for 18.
