Shai Hope scored a century as West Indies put in to bat scored a massive 421 against New Zealand in its World Cup warm-up game in Bristol on Tuesday.
Chris Gayle failed to convert the start when he was removed by Trent Boult on 36. Hope joined Evin Lewis and stitched a 84-run stand, before the opener after getting to his half-century. The Windies started to lose wickets at regular intervals and still managed to bring up a century off 86 balls.
Windies was 267/5 in 35.4 overs when Hope fell on 101 to Boult and then Jason Holder chipped in with a 47 down the order. Andre Russell too joined in with a breezy 25-ball 54 — studded with seven boundaries and three sixes.
Trent Boult finished with four wickets.
