India vs Australia Test series: Australia scores 277 for 6 on day one of the second Test at Perth

Thanks to a solid showing from the top order on Day One, Australia progressed to at 277 for 6 at stumps on day one of the second Test at Perth. There were half-centuries from openers Marcus Harris and Aaron Finch, and middle-order batsman Travis Head. Shaun Marsh, with a knock of 45, also helped Australia make a positive start to the contest.

Fast bowler Ishant Sharma, with figures of 2 for 35, was India's most successful bowler. Part-time bowler Hanuma Vihari also claimed two wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav took one each.
