Ravindra Jadeja has recovered from a shoulder injury and will be available for selection for the third India vs Australia Test in Melbourne, the BCCI announced on Sunday.
Jadeja had picked up the injury during the 2018 West Indies ODI series and underwent treatment in Mumbai for the same. He recovered in time to play for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy between November 12 to 15. He was subsequently declared fit by the BCCI and selected for the Test series against Australia.
After Jadeja flew to Australia, he then complained of a recurrence of his symptoms on November 30 during the match against the CA XI in Sydney and underwent further treatment on the day.
In the lead up to the Perth Test match on December 14, the management and Jadeja felt that his bowling in the nets wasn't up to the mark for such a high-profile series and hence he was not considered for selection for the second Test match.
