Cheteshwar Pujara is having a forgettable tour of South Africa as he registered yet another unwanted record in the third Test at Johannesburg. He became the second Indian batsman after Rajesh Chauhan to take most number of deliveries to get off the mark.

After opting to bat, India lost two quick wickets in K.L. Rahul and Murali Vijay in between a fiery spell from the South African quicks. India's No. 3 Pujara too had a tough time at the middle and took 54 deliveries to open his account, while Chauhan consumed 57.

The third in the list is Sachin Tendulkar (45) and fourth Rahul Dravid (41).

Earlier, in the second Test at Centurion, Pujara had achieved a rare record of becoming the first Indian batsman to be run-out twice in a Test match.

Meanwhile, Geoff Alott of New Zealand tops the list of having faced most balls to get off the mark (77) and England's James Anderson (55) follows with Pujara taking the third place.
