India and England will practice for two days (next Tuesday and Wednesday) before the fourth Test to be played at the Wankhede Stadium from Thursday, December 8. The third Test at Mohali was won by India in four days on November 29 and since, the two teams have taken a break. India is leading the five-Test series 2-0.

Some of the England players have gone to Dubai. The England team has also got Keaton Jennings and Liam Dawson as replacements for the indisposed Haseeb Hameed and Zafar Ansari. The fitness status of seamers Stuart Broad (he did not play the Mohali Test because of a foot injury) and Chris Woakes, who was hit on the bottom-hand (right thumb) at Mohali is not known. Broad is training withthe England Lions team in Dubai.

An MCA official said that England will practice from 9 am on Tuesday and India will do so in the afternoon and on Wednesday, England will practice in the morning and India in the afternoon.

The Wankhede pitch which is made up of red soil is likely to have good binding for the first two days and from the third day onwards, the spinners may get some bounce and turn.

The last first-class match played between Andhra and Haryana from October 27 ended in a victory for Andhra by 77 runs. The first Ranji Trophy match of the current season played between Maharashtra and Delhi from October 13, ended in a draw with Maharashtra declaring its first innings at 635 for 2 and Delhi replying with 590.
