"I feel in pretty good touch," Morgan said ahead of England's opening ODI on January 15.

After his match-winning 71 not out for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League on Wednesday, Eoin Morgan is ready to take on India.

Morgan, England's limited-overs captain, will leave the Big Bash to join up with his international team-mates after the six-wicket win at the Sydney Showground Stadium.

His unbeaten innings came off just 50 deliveries and climaxed with a sensational straight six off the final ball of the match from Ben Hilfenhaus to secure the Thunder's first win of this edition of the competition.

Over his five matches the 30-year-old scored 159 runs at 39.75, and - after missing England's tour of Bangladesh due to security reasons - he feels in good nick to help England bounce back from its Test woes on the subcontinent.

"I feel in pretty good touch," Morgan said ahead of England's opening ODI on January 15. We played on a slow wicket tonight which prepares you well for subcontinental conditions. It hasn't been too flat, so my preparation has been really good out here."

Pune will host the opening ODI, before matches in Cuttack and Kolkata ahead of three T20 internationals.
