Skipper Virat Kohli broke his No. 1 bowler Ravichandran Ashwin's man of the series winning streak as he won the award for amassing 655 runs against England.

Ashwin had won the award four times in a row — against Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand — to take his tally to seven. However, the off-spinner, with 28 scalps, topped the wicket-takers' list.
