A win in the fourth T20I against South Africa will give the Indian women a series win.

Hello and welcome to Sportstar's live updates from the fourth T20 between India women and South Africa women from the SuperSport Park in Centurion. It is a double whammy for all the fans as India men take on the South Africa men later in the day and both the teams are chasing history - a win will help India clinch the series in the rainbow nation.

India hasn't won a series in South Africa and this is the best chance! India has an upper hand in the head to head record, winning three out of the four played.

Toss update:

Harmanpreet Kaur calls it right at the spin of the coin. India has invited South Africa to bat first. "We have had success in the first two games chasing. I believe it is good to chase in short formats. We have learnt a lot and focus in today, It is a fresh day and give our best," says Harmanpreet, at the toss.

We will now move on to the fifth and final T20I in a couple of days time. See you there! We have just had 15.3 overs of action today and we hope we can have a full match in the fifth and final T20. Thank you for tuning in.

We have some bad news from SuperSport Park. The match has been abandoned.

This means there is a slight good news. India cannot lose the series from here on. If South Africa manages to win the next game, the series will be drawn 2-2.

The teams shake hands and this is India's first abandoned game in T20I history.

This is what India would be chasing:

15-over match: 148

10-over match: 109

5-over match: 61

If the game can start anytime now, the target for India is 148 in 15 overs . But unfortunately, we have more rain coming in. We will have a reduction in overs if the rain doesn't relent anytime soon.

The SA innings is declared closed at 130/3 in 15.3 overs.

Meanwhile, this is what Mithali Raj said about women's cricket in an interview with BCCI.

It is more than an hour since the game has been stopped. We might be in for some reduction of overs. Let's wait and see!

In case you are left wondering about what happens to the men's game that follows, the women's game can be extended by an hour and that wouldn't affect the men's game.

We have some good news. The rain has stopped and the groundsmen are at work. We hope to have some action at the SuperSport Park. Fingers crossed!

Looks like we are in for a longish wait as the rain is in no mood to relent.

4.1 van Niekerk picks this up beautifully and gets down on one knee and sends it to the deep square leg fence. A good start again for SA in the over.

We have spin now. Rajeshwari Gayakwad (left-arm spinner) is into the attack.

End of 4 overs: SA 24/0. van Niekerk 10 (18) Lee8 (7).

3.1 van Niekerk picks it beautifully and times it elegantly to the mid-wicket region for four. The fielder gets a hand to it. Some awkward bounce doesn't help the Indian fielder and South Africa is picking up pace here.

Rumeli continues

End of 3 overs: SA 17/0

2.4 Pooja slides it down the leg, slightly fullish. Hits van Niekerk a tad outside the line. The batswoman goes for a heave but the ball misses the bat and finds the gap between the Indian wicketkeeper and first slip and runs away to the fence.
