Lasith Malinga, on Sunday, will star in his 200th One Day International when he takes on the Indians in Dambulla.

The curly-haired slinger from Rathgama in northern Galle is also two scalps away from 300 ODI wickets.

Malinga made his ODI debut against the United Arab Emirates in the 2004 Asia Cup, in which he picked up a wicket. Despite hampered by injuries, he's been the spearhead of the Sri Lankan pace battery for quite a few years now.

Against India, he's played 35 games, picking up 40 wickets with an economy rate of 5.98.
