The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) and BCCI have shown the intent to extend Rahul Dravid's tenure as coach/mentor of the India Under-19 coach by 12 months or two years.

Dravid's previous ten-month contract has an extension clause, whereas Anil Kumble's is specific; it expires on June 30. An official said: "The COA Chief (Vinod Rai) was told about the nature of the extension clause provided in Dravid's contract and it was decided to refer his case to the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). We are awaiting CAC's decision."

In the event of the CAC approving Dravid's extension, the BCCI and the former India captain will discuss money-matters. It's understood Dravid is inclined for a 12-month contract with India Under-19 and A teams.
