The Committee of Administrators will meet in Mumbai on August 29 to give finishing touches to the new BCCI Constitution, as per the August 23 directive of the Supreme Court.

A few months ago, the CoA had posted a version of the new Constitution on the BCCI website, but withdrew it over some contentious issues.

As it has done in the recent past, the CoA will retain the by-laws authored by the three-member Lodha Committee, but might modify it on the aspects of the ‘one State, one member, one vote’ issue and the composition of the selection committees.

The CoA might also consider maintaining the full-membership positions of Railways, Services and All India Universities.

The NCC and CCI are likely to make a case for themselves to retain their voting rights.

Sources said the CoA has filed an affidavit with the Supreme Court, stating that closed-bid is the way forward for the BCCI to get maximum revenue as against e-tendering for the IPL media rights.

Women’s committee

A committee comprising GM-Game Development Ratnakar Shetty, CoA member Diana Eduljee, and players Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur and Jhulan Goswami will meet on August 30 to give shape to a women's cricket programme.

Coach Tushar Arothe will be unable to attend the Women’s Committee meeting as he is travelling.
