India squad for Australia to be picked on Saturday

India’s short three-week tour of Australia will have five ODIs and three T20 Internationals, starting on January 12 and ending on January 31.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who retired from Tests during the Australia tour earlier this year, will be seen back in action after leading the side against South Africa at home in limited-overs.

The selection committee of the Indian cricket board will meet here on Saturday to pick the squad for the upcoming limited-overs tour of Australia, starting on January 12.

“The All-India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI will meet on Saturday at 5:00 PM, 19th December, 2015 at the Hotel ITC Maurya, Delhi, to select the Indian team for the forthcoming tour of Australia,” a BCCI release said.

India’s short three-week tour of Australia will have five ODIs and three T20 Internationals starting on January 12 and ending on January 31.

During the tour, India will play matches at all major venues like MCG, SCG, WACA, Adelaide Oval and Gabba in Brisbane.

Schedule:

ODI series:

January 12 - India vs Australia, WACA Ground, Perth;

January 15 - India vs Australia, Gabba, Brisbane;

January 17 - India vs Australia, Melbourne Cricket Ground;

January 20 - India vs Australia, Manuka Oval, Canberra;

January 23 - India vs Australia, Sydney Cricket Ground.

T20I series:

January 26 - India vs Australia, Adelaide Oval;

January 29 - India vs Australia, Melbourne Cricket Ground;

January 31 - India vs Australia, Sydney Cricket Ground.
