The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) nominee to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board, Vikram Limaye, voted against the special Working Group’s new governance and revenue-sharing models.

Limaye, according to a BCCI release (not signed either by the BCCI Joint Secretary, Amitabh Chaudhary or CEO Rahul Johri), voted against it because the Committee of Administrators (CoA) was formed only four days ago.

The BCCI release said: "Limaye expressed his concern over both the documents, especially in light of the insufficient time available to the Supreme Court-appointed CoA to take an informed view on the said proposal, and also there being no scientific basis behind the percentage distribution allocation that was being proposed other than “good faith and equity."

"Limaye requested that both proposals be taken up at the next ICC board meeting in April 2017."

However, ICC chairman Shashank Manohar put the matter to vote — both the constitutional and revenue models.

CoA chairman Vinod Rai had conveyed to the ICC on Friday that Limaye will be the BCCI’s nominee to the ICC Board.

Interestingly, former IPL chief financial officer Prasanna Kannan was also present in Dubai to meet the ICC officials.
