Ranji Trophy 2018-19: Karun, Samarth to miss Karnataka’s tie against Mumbai

The duo, who had featured in Karnataka’s opening fixture against Vidarbha at Nagpur, join the India ‘A’ team for the second and third four-day matches against New Zealand ‘A’.

Batsmen Karun Nair and R. Samarth will miss Karnataka’s Ranji Trophy encounter against Mumbai, which commences at Belagavi on Tuesday. The duo, who had featured in Karnataka’s opening fixture against Vidarbha at Nagpur, join the India ‘A’ team for the second and third four-day matches against New Zealand ‘A’.

Kaunain Abbas and Liyan Khan have been named as their replacements. K.L. Rahul, Manish Pandey, K. Gowtham and Mayank Agarwal continue to miss Karnataka’s campaign due to India and India ‘A’ commitments.
