Star India all-rounder R. Ashwin conducted selection trials for Dindigul Dragons probables at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College ground here on Wednesday.
Looking fit and appearing to have recovered well from sports hernia that kept him out of IPL, Ashwin was on the ground for the entire duration of the three-hour session under the hot sun.
As many as 22 aspirants from the various districts of Tamil Nadu such as Pollachi, Theni, Madurai and Cuddalore had their skill assessed by Ashwin.
Later, Ashwin was involved in a lengthy discussion with H.R. Srinivas, vice-chairman and managing director, Take Solutions, which runs this TNPL franchise.
There might be a further short-listing of the cricketers before the final selection gets underway.
