Baba Indrajith's direct hit got D. T. Chandraskar shot off the ground as Ruby Trichy Warriors defeated Madurai Super Giant by two runs in a thriller in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) at the NPRCET grounds here on Wednesday.

Earlier, half-centuries by openers Baba Aparajith 70 (37b 12x4, 1x6) and K. Bharath Shankar 53 (47b, 5x4, 2x6) ensured that Ruby Trichy Warriors got a solid platform.

The openers brought up their fifty run stand inside the power play.

Baba Indrajith hit a quickfire fifty as the openers helped Trichy reach the hundred by the eleventh over.

K. Bharath Shankar brought up his half century before both of them departed by the fifteenth over. A late cameo of 35 from 15 balls by Nilesh Subramanian powered Trichy to a 187.
