A day after the India Under-19 squad returned home after finishing runners-up in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, captain Ishan Kishan has earned a three-year bat endorsement deal with CEAT, a leading tyre manufacturer.

Kishan will thus join India stars Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina in sporting a CEAT logo on his bat across all formats. The aggressive batsman-wicketkeeper from Jharkhand didn’t have a great outing with the bat in Bangladesh, tallying 73 runs from six innings, but the left-hander impressed with his strategies while leading the young bunch.

The RPG Group, parent company of CEAT, has been involved in cricket for a long time. Last month, it unsuccessfully bid for one of the two replacement Indian Premier League franchises.
