Bangladesh succumbed to a deadly bowling attack from the West Indies, as it registered its lowest total of 43 in the five-day format, during the opening Test at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua on Wednesday.
Its previous lowest was 62, against Sri Lanka at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo in 2007. It is also the eighth lowest Test total in the history.
It was fast bowler Kemar Roach, who ripped apart the Bangladeshi batting order with a phenomenal spell of five wickets for just eight runs, while Miguel Cummins supported him with three for just six. Opener Liton Das was the only batsman to have entered the double figures, with a score of 25.
