Australia spinner Nathan Lyon insists his team are ready for the challenge South Africa will pose in the tri-series on Tuesday.
Lyon took three for 39 to help Australia to a comprehensive six-wicket win over West Indies in its opener in Guyana. The bonus-point win has put his team top of the points table, ahead of the host, and South Africa.
West Indies had opened with a surprise four-wicket victory against South Africa on Friday. Despite that result, Lyon is wary of what his team are set to face in Tuesday's clash at Providence.
"We know what South Africa brings. They're a world-class team. They've got some absolute superstars. It's going to be a great challenge," he said.
"We're going to have to rock up, perform well, compete in all the three areas and really have a good game. We like challenging ourselves as Australian cricketers. We want to play against all the best sides in the world and compete against them so we're looking forward come the game in the next couple of days."
Lyon and Adam Zampa (three for 16) impressed with the ball in Australia's win, while David Warner made 55 in the chase of 117.
The off-spinner is looking forward to playing on the same pitch against South Africa, who made just 188 in the opener.
"It's going to be an interesting surface to come play again, it's definitely going to be spin-friendly I dare say," Lyon said.
"It's going to be a great challenge for us spin bowlers but also our batters."
Mitchell Starc made his return from injury and finished with figures of 2-37 from nine overs. South Africa will be eager for a better performance after their collapse with the bat against the Windies.
Rilee Rossouw (61) had set them up, but they lost 28-7 batting first against the hosts as Sunil Narine (6-27) starred.
