New Zealand clinched the second Test by nine wickets to seal a series whitewash after Bangladesh imploded in Christchurch on Monday.
Having gone toe-to-toe in the first innings, Bangladesh gifted the ascendancy to the Black Caps after collapsing to be bowled out for just 173 on day four.
And the Kiwis pounced, taking the additional 30 minutes on offer to chase down the 109 target with nine wickets in hand, ensuring a sweep of Bangladesh in one-day internationals, Twenty20s and Tests in New Zealand.
Colin de Grandhomme (33 not out) hit back-to-back sixes to bring up victory for New Zealand - who moved up to fifth in the ICC Test rankings as a result - alongside opener Tom Latham (41 unbeaten), with Jeet Raval (33) the only wicket to fall.
Hagley Oval was bathed in sunshine after day three was abandoned due to heavy rain on Sunday and when play did get underway following an initial delay due to water leaking through the covers, New Zealand added 94 to its overnight score.
Resuming on 260-7, Henry Nicholls fell two runs short of a maiden Test century as the Black Caps scored freely early.
Nicholls put on 30 runs for the eighth wicket with Tim Southee (17) and added 57 alongside Neil Wagner (26) to help New Zealand take a 65-run first-innings lead.
Shakib Al Hasan was the chief destroyer with 4-50, while Kamrul Islam Rabbi (2-78), Mehedi Hasan Miraz (2-59) and Taskin Ahmed (1-86) contributed.
Bangladesh's batsmen were unable to carry on in their second dig, despite a decent start.
While Tamim Iqbal (8) and Shakib (8) fell cheaply, Soumya Sarkar (36) and Mahmudullah (38) dug deep to lead Bangladesh to 100-5 at tea, effectively 35-5.
Bangladesh spectacularly capitulated from that point, losing five wickets for just 73 runs, as its batsmen gifted the Kiwis.
Trent Boult (3-52), Tim Southee (3-48) and Neil Wagner (3-44) took three wickets apiece, while De Grandhomme (1-27) chipped in.
