The fourth ODI between New Zealand and Sri Lanka was abandoned Saturday after heavy rain allowed only nine overs to be bowled.

The start of the match was delayed nearly five hours because of the weather.

New Zealand were 75-3 after being sent in to bat when the rain started again and the umpires called the game off.
