Nidahas Trophy: Hero Motocorp to be title sponsor

The March 6-18 tournament is being organised to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70 years of independence.

Hero MotoCorp Limited, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, on Thursday announced its title sponsor of the T20 tri-nation tournament, the Hero Nidahas Trophy, to be played in Sri Lanka in March. The March 6-18 tournament is being organised to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70 years of independence.

The tournament will feature three teams from the sub-continent — India, Bangladesh and hosts Sri Lanka. The tournament will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and will be called Hero Nidahas Trophy 2018.

Speaking about the association Pawan Munjal, Chairman, MD and CEO Hero MotoCorp, said, “Cricket continues to be one of the most popular sports in Sri Lanka and we are glad to extend our association with Sri Lanka Cricket.
