No franchises showed interest in West Indies star Chris Gayle during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) player draft, held in Lahore on Sunday.
In a rather surprise move, all the six franchises were not too keen on having the 38-year-old on board.
The team owners were also informed that Gayle will only be available partly for the PSL as he is likely to be part of West Indies’ World Cup 2019 qualifying rounds, to be held in Zimbabwe in March-April.
The third edition of the PSL is to be held in the UAE, Lahore and Karachi from February 23 to March 24 next year.
Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt, who were banned for being involved in spot-fixing scandal, were also included in the draft. None of them, however, could find any teams.
