Teenage spinner Mohammad Asghar has been added to Pakistan's Test squad for the upcoming series against Australia due to injury concerns over Yasir Shah.

Pakistan has consequently called up 17-year-old Asghar to provide cover for Yasir ahead of the three-Test series that starts in Brisbane on December 15.

Asghar has yet to make his debut in international cricket, but took 13 wickets at 29.61 when playing in an unofficial Test series against Zimbabwe A in October. Veteran Zulfiqar Babar was another option for Pakistan, but the 37-year-old did not press home his claims in the series win over West Indies in October.
