11:35pm: CSK wins by 13 runs to bounce back from a defeat against Mumbai.

11:10pm: 18 runs off the 16th over leaves Delhi needing 66 runs off the last four overs. Rishabh Pant giving his team a slim chance of pulling off what will be a remarkable chase!

10:34pm: Delhi's run-rate has dipped with the introduction of Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh.

10:21pm: Second wicket of the night for one of the debutants, K. M. Asif, who has removed both the Delhi openers. Colin Munro perishes for 26 off 16 balls.

10:14pm: Delhi's innings has started in a similar vein as CSK: it is one for 31 after four overs, at which stage CSK was none for 25.

10:02pm: K. M. Asif, who is sharing the new ball with Ngidi, is another debutant for CSK. He has replaced Deepak Chahar, who is out with a hamstring injury.

9:57pm: Lungi Ngidi, who is making his IPL debut, is opening the bowling for CSK, which is trying to defend 211.

9:39pm: Fourth 200-plus total for CSK this IPL season and the third batting first!  It finishes on 211/4, Dhoni making his third half-century (51 runs off 22 balls)!

9:32pm: Liam Plunkett had been impressive in his first two outings for Delhi, picking three wickets and being economical, too. Tonight though, he has conceded 52 runs off three overs, struggling up front and at the death.

9:30pm: A six over long-off off Liam Plunkett brings up the second 50-run stand for CSK, this time between Ambati Rayudu and M. S. Dhoni. CSK's on course for breaching 200 for a third time batting first this IPL season!

9:24pm: With three sixes and a four in the last six balls he has faced, M. S. Dhoni has overtaken Rayudu (23 off 15 balls), now batting on 29 runs off 12 balls.  Some serious hitting from the CSK skipper, reminding us of his more usual self!

9:18pm: M. S. Dhoni steps down the track and hammers Amit Mishra over long-off for his first six. Mishra completes his spell taking one for 30 in four overs.

9:07pm: Mishra gives Delhi the much-needed breakthrough of Watson, who has fallen for 78 (40 balls; 4x4, 7x6).

8:59pm: First boundary in 21 balls: Ambati Rayudu strikes one on the up over cover for a much-needed boundary for CSK, which had been deprived of momentum somewhat!

8:53pm: Shane Watson has favoured the on-side tonight, with nearly 70 per cent of his runs coming in that direction!

Shane Watson

8:40pm: Shane Watson has reached his maiden half-century of IPL 2018 and is looking ominous from DD's perspective.

8:33pm: CSK has moved to 71/0 after seven overs, with Shane Watson (45 not out) closing in on his first half-century of the season. DD bowlers have wilted under the pressure put on them by the belligerent Watson. Amit Mishra introduced into the attack.

8:25pm: 31 runs (!) off the last two overs of the powerplay have taken CSK to 56 for no loss. Watson the dominant of the opening batsmen but du Plessis is holding his own despite playing only his second match of the season.

8:02pm: A huge lbw shout on the first ball of the match with Trent Boult's inswinger seemingly catching Shane Watson right in front of the stumps. Umpire says not out but Delhi reviews the decision. On review, the umpire's decision is justified with Watson getting an inside edge onto his front pad!

Good evening and welcome to Sportstar's live commentary of the Indian Premier League match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils.

It's the Super Kings second successive home game at Pune and the MS Dhoni-led outfit will be looking to get back to winning ways against the bottom-placed Daredevils.

More injury concerns for CSK in the form of a hamstring injury to in-form pacer Deepak Chahar, who will be out of the tournament for at least two weeks. The setback will add to CSK's death bowling woes.

English all-rounder David Willey could come in Chahar's place while Imran Tahir could make way for Karn Sharma to accommodate the change.

DD wins the toss and will bowl first .

Iyer: We would like to bowl first. It was a great performance in the last match, today is a fresh day. We need to put collective effort in all the departments. Hopefully, we will repeat the same performance today. I remembered the two changes we made in the last match, we have no changes today.

Dhoni: Yes, I think the Mumbai Indians had a bit of pace. The choice of deliveries on our part could have been better. It does not result on the result of the game. Don't ask me the names of the players who are not playing. Faf, Karn, Lungi and Asif are in. Deepak Chahar is injured. Billings we have given a break. The two bowlers we have got in is because we wanted some pace.
