Mumbai Indians has roped in South African left-arm pacer Beuran Hendricks as a replacement for the injured Alzarri Joseph for the remainder of the Indian Premier League.

The West Indian Joseph was picked as a replacement by the franchise for Adam Milne and went on to make a dramatic entry into the tournament with a record-breaking spell of six for 12 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

However, he got injured during the fixture against Rajasthan Royals last week, which ruled him out of the tournament.

Hendricks, who has played two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 10 T20Is for South Africa, has previously represented Kings XI Punjab in the IPL.

Mumbai Indians takes on Chennai Super Kings in its next encounter at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday.
