Bipul hungry to sharpen his skills

Bipul Sharma, the left-arm spinner from Sunrisers Hyderabad, has indicated a desire to shape his fitness and sharpen his all-round skills to gain India selection.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s left-arm spinner Bipul Sharma, who has made a mark for himself in the domestic circuit, on Wednesday said he is working on his fitness and other aspects to improve his chances for national selection.

“I am working on my fitness and trying to boost my strong points and address my weak points. If you perform well, it will happen (India selection),” the 32-year-old allrounder from Punjab said.

Sharma, who had earlier played for Kings XI Punjab in IPL and also Himachal Pradesh, India A, North Zone in the domestic circuit, made a name for himself with the ball as well as by making useful contributions as a middle-order batsman.

Guidance from coaches

Sharma said he is working on his strong and weak areas to improve his performance in the ongoing edition of IPL. He said he gets guidance from the coaches in improving his skills and to expand his knowledge of the game during the IPL.

Expressing confidence on the performance of the team so far, Sharma hoped that it would get better. The other young players of Sunrisers like Mustafizur Rahman have also been doing well for the team, he said.
