Chennai Super Kings leads the television battle

Chennai Super Kings, apart from cricket, is also known for its fan base. The yellow army, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, returned to the Indian Premier League after two years of suspension. According to a data acquired by Sportstar, nine CSK matches — as per viewership results through the BARC panel — have registered 263.87 million impressions in all. They constitute 31 per cent of the total league viewership in India.

CSK matches, compared to other teams, have been getting higher viewership. For example, Rajasthan Royals — which also staged a comeback after two years — has an impression of 161.253 million, the lowest in the chart.

As of May 13, Sunday, CSK finished 12 games. A certain for the play-offs, the Dhoni-led side is likely to generate more traction.
