Chennai Super Kings' Shane Watson struck a massive eight sixes in the final to finish the season with an impressive 35 sixes to his name.

This year's Indian Premier League has been lit up by a flurry of sixes - 872 to be precise - making it the first instance of the number of sixes going past 800.

There aren't too many grounds in the country which the modern day cricketer, armed with wide bats and strong forearms, can't clear. And the jaw-dropping numbers recorded in this edition of the IPL further attest the big hitting prowess of the players.
