Ambati Rayudu scoring a century cannot be deemed surprising given the wonderful form he has been this season. But the best bowling attack of the tournament so far, Sunrisers Hyderabad, had a third century scored against them.

Rishabh Pant (63-ball 128) and Chris Gayle (57-ball 106) have been the other two batsmen who have made a century against Sunrisers this season. In all, four centuries have been made in the 11th edition of IPL, with Shane Watson completing the list.

On Sunday (May 13), against the same bowling attack which he dominated in the reverse fixture and made a 37-ball 79, Rayudu made his maiden IPL hundred, getting to the landmark in 62 balls. His hundred was punctuated with seven fours and seven sixes.

Riding on Rayudu's century, CSK reached the target (180) in 19 overs and won by eight wickets. This win took it a step closer to sealing a playoff berth.
