All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set for his 100th Chennai Super Kings appearance. The 30-year-old will achieve the landmark in the Qualifier 1 fixture against Mumbai Indians at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here on Tuesday.
Jadeja’s record could lead to a strange coincidence if the Super Kings end up winning the high-pressure game against Mumbai. It will be the 100th win for the defending champion in the history of the IPL.
In April, the four-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals marked M.S. Dhoni’s 100 win as captain in the IPL; Super Kings’ 96.

Mumbai is the only other franchise in the tournament to have more than 100 wins (107) at the moment. It achieved the record-breaking figure against the Super Kings earlier in this season.
Jadeja has been representing the Super Kings since 2012. Earlier, he has been part of Rajasthan Royals and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
When the Super Kings were handed a two-year suspension, Jadeja played for Gujarat Lions.
He has appeared in 167 IPL matches in total, claiming 106 wickets at an economy of 6.71.
The left-handed batsman also scored 1,922 runs at an average of 24.02 but he is yet to score a fifty. In this season, Jadeja has claimed 13 wickets.
Super Kings-Mumbai clashes have now earned an epithet — El Clasico of IPL. Rohit Sharma's carefree batting against M.S. Dhoni's instincts will be the highlight of the fixture.
