The final over of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals produced multiple dramatic moments. M.S. Dhoni uncharacteristically lost his cool , Mitchell Santner hit the final ball for a six, but the drama unfolded with the first ball of Ben Stokes' final over of the match.

The England all-rounder bowled a wide fuller-length delivery to Ravindra Jadeja who slipped in the process of getting under it. Funnily enough Stokes also lost his footing at the other end. Both the players watched the ball soar high into the air but the ball carried on its momentum and landed outside the boundary rope. Stokes grimaced, while non-striker M.S. Dhoni walked to his partner, chuckling, to give a friendly tap on his helmet with his bat.

Despite Stokes bowling Dhoni off the third ball of the over, Mitchell Santner's last-ball six won the emotionally-charged match for CSK by four-wickets.
