Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Tom Moody has confirmed Kane Williamson is fit and hinted he might play on Sunday.
“It is great news for us obviously as another class top-order [batsman] is available now. He is going to change the dynamics and an overseas players has to make way for him,” Moody said on the eve of the contest against Delhi Capitals here on Saturday.
“We are fully aware of the challenges as we move forward in this tournament as our overseas combinations will change because of the World Cup commitments, too,” he added.
Death-bowling woes
“I think death overs has been an issue for every team in this tournament and ours is not an isolated case. Well, we did discuss at length different strategies on how to improve in that area now,” Moody said.
Moody described Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the seamer, as a world-class bowler, and declared he will get better as the IPL progresses.

Moody felt the middle-order was starved of opportunities at the start because of the century partnerships between David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, but if it had stepped up when it got the chances, the team would have been in a different position now.
Another potent opener Sunrisers knows much about is Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan was part of the Sunrisers set-up for seven years before being picked by Capitals for this season. On Sunday, however, there will be “combat” between Dhawan and Sunrisers.
“We have had a long association and friendship with him. Now, there will no emotional attachments and when you cross the line it is combat and we are looking forward to that opportunity,” Moody said.
