So what if Pragyan Ojha has not been a part of the national team recently? There were talks that the senior spinner could make it to the IPL. But with a base price of Rs 30 lakh, he went unsold.

Cheteswar Pujara had a reasonable base price of Rs 50 lakh, but even then, none of the franchises showed interest. Many in the cricketing fraternity feel that the ‘Test specialist’ tag cost him dearly.

Despite having a base price of Rs 50 lakh, Irfan Pathan got a reality check as he was not picked by any of the franchises.

Parvez Rasool, the all-rounder from Jammu and Kashmir made a comeback into the Indian team recently, but that was not enough to get an IPL contract. Even a low base price of Rs 30 lakh couldn't change his fortunes.
