India opener K.L. Rahul went to Kings XI Punjab for whopping Rs 11 crore Rahul had represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the previous editions.
Rahul scored 725 runs from 39 games at a strike-rate of 125.65 - among them, 397 came in 2016 - while he was with RCB - at a strike-rate of 146.69.
However, the Karnataka batsman did not have a great outing last year and was out of the national side for a long time due to injury. But that did not stop the franchises from investing heavily on him.
