Chris Gayle slammed the first century of this season's Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday. The West Indies batsman, playing for Kings XI Punjab, hammered a ton in 58 deliveries against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mohali.
The big-hitter, who was picked by Kings XI on the second day of the auctions, was at his furious best to put the pressure on the hosts. His innings was crafted with 11 sixes and a boundary. It was riding on his ton, the home team reached 193-3 in 20 overs.
