Ajinkya Rahane laid anchor to Rising Pune Supergiants' batting endeavour against Royal Challengers Bangalore, eventually finishing with 74 off 48 balls.

Saurabh Tiwary also lent solidity to the batting with a half-century.

Shane Watson was Royal Challengers' most successful bowler, with three wickets. The team was set a target of 192.

Virat Kohli batted purposefully in Royal Challengers' chase.

He scored his second IPL century, and the second of the season, to lead his side to a last-over win.

Watson's blitz towards the business end of the innings proved handy. He scored 36 off 13 balls.

Marcus Stoinis scored a half-century at the top of the order for Kings XI Punjab to guide his side to a strong total against Delhi Daredevils.

Middle-order batsman Wriddhiman Saha also scored a half-century, as Kings XI eventually reached 181 for 5.

Delhi Daredevils opener Quinton de Kock played an attacking knock at the top of the order to get his side off to a quick start in its chase.

Quinton de Kock and Sanju Samson, the openers, put on 70 before de Kock was dismissed in the eighth over.

Marcus Stoinis dismissed both the openers and added a third to bring Kings XI back in the contest. The bowlers bowled accurately in the death overs to eke out a nine-run win that kept Kings XI afloat in the competition.
