Those who thought Shikhar Dhawan was losing the plot in the IPL, there was a smart reply from the dashing opener. On Wednesday, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman slammed a 50-ball 70 to help his team put up a big total and eventually beat Delhi Daredevils.
Playing in his first IPL match of the season, New Zealander Kane Williamson struck a 89 in 51 balls to help Sunrisers put up a big total.
As Sunrisers Hyderabad registered yet another win at home, it had a few special guests in the stands. Badminton ace and Rio Olympic medalist P.V. Sindhu was seen cheering for the local side.
Not just P. V. Sindhu, another badminton star, Jwala Gutta, too made her presence felt.
While Delhi Daredevils once again failed to live up to the expectations, youngster Shreyas Iyer was unbeaten 50. But his efforts were not enough as his team went down by 15 runs.
Siddharth Kaul picked up a wicket, conceding 32 runs. Just when Angelo Mathews was looking in form, Kaul dismissed him--dashing Delhi's chances.
