CSK beat RR by 45 runs to move to the No. 2 spot in the points table.

This is a comprehensive win for CSK. Chasing 189, Royals were off to a good start with Jos Buttler spearheading their charge. But Ravindra Jadeja's dismissal of Buttler triggered a slide, which saw RR lose five wickets for 16 runs in 5 overs. They never recovered from that. CSK move to the No. 2 spot in the points table. Royals are sixth. That would be all from our side. Thanks for joining us tonight.

- COMMENTARY -

Chetan Sakariya comes to the crease. Unadkat collects a boundary off his first ball. Thakur concedes two wides off the next two. GONE! Unadkat holes out and guess who's the fielder? Jadeja, of course! Mustafizur Rahman is the last man in. That should do it. An emphatic win for CSK. They beat Royals by 45 runs.

RR 137/8 in 19 Overs:  Bravo bowling the 19th. Tewatia collects two back-to-back sixes off Bravo. Too little too late you'd say. Bravo has the last laugh as Tewatia holes out. 15 runs and a wicket.

RR 122/7 in 18 Overs: Curran is back into the attack. Unadkat has hit a maximum over fine leg. Meanwhile, the ball keeps finding Jadeja in the field. What an asset he is - as a batsman, a bowler and a fielder. Unadkat has got a boundary backward of square. 13 off it. Rajasthan Royals need 67 runs in 12 balls

RR 109/7 in 17 Overs: Moeen Ali bowls yet another economical over - just four singles off it. The end is nigh for Royals. This has been a clinical performance from the CSK bowlers. Rajasthan Royals need 80 runs in 18 balls

- TIME-OUT -

Royals have lost 5 wickets for 16 runs in the last five overs. Here comes Bravo. All of a sudden, Mumbai feels like home, doesn't it CSK? Ball turning, opposition crumbling. Classic MSD playbook. Eight off the Bravo over. Rajasthan Royals needs 84 runs in 24 balls

RR 97/7 in 15 Overs: GONE! Royals are crumbling. Parag holes out to Jadeja, can't keep him out of the game, can you? GONE! Morris holes out as well. Royals, what are you doing? They are committing harakiri. Unadkat joins Tewatia. Two runs and as many wickets. Moeen Ali's figures - 2-0-3-3.

RR 95/5 in 14 Overs: Jadeja into his fourth. Tewatia and Parag have their task cut out. Ball turning, spinners operating - this is MSD territory. Just three runs off tyhe over. Jaddu - 4-0-28-2. Rajasthan Royals need 94 runs in 36 balls.

RR 92/5 in 13 Overs: Riyan Parag has joined Miller. Moeen Ali is into the attack. The ball is turning. A leg slip in place for Parag. GONE! Moeen Ali has trapped Miller in front! 3 wickets in the last 5 runs. Tewatia joins Parag. Two runs and wicket.

RR 90/4 in 12 Overs: Bowled him! Jadeja strikes. Buttler has been cleaned up by a peach. He falls for 49. Buttler was squared up. Jaddu pitched it on leg stump and got it to spin past Buttler's bat to crash into middle and off. Miller joins Dube. Dube has been given out lbw. He reviews it. Replays confirm the on-field decision. Dube's out. Three runs and two wickets off that over. What a start, Jadeja.

RR 87/2 in 11 Overs: Bravo concedes three two wides first up. Erratic start. He follows it up with two dots. Dube takes a single off the third and gets Buttler back on strike. Buttler moves to 49 with a single. Bravo bowls another wide. And another one. He has lost his radar this over, has Bravo. He is trying to go across the left-hander... ends with a dot. Six off it.

RR 81/2 in 10 Overs: Jadeja resumed action with four very good balls before dropping one short - Buttler heaved it over mid-wicket for six. To make matters worse, it is a no ball. Only a single off the free hit though. A single to end the over. 11 off it.

- Time-out -

RR 70/2 in 9 Overs: Thakur bowls short and wide. Dube hammers it over backward point for four. A real 'hit me' ball that. Dube's main job will be to hold one end up as Buttler does his thing. But the southpaw needs to guard against getting into a rut. That straight drive over the bowler's head to end the over should help him. 10 off the over.

RR 60/2 in 8 Overs: Ravindra Jadeja comes into the attack. Dube takes a single to bring up RR's 50. A slip in place for Buttler, who reverse sweeps Jaddu for four. Make that two reverse sweeps in as many balls. Same result. Four more. 11 off the over.

RR 49/2 in 7 Overs: Thakur starts his spell with a yorker. Buttler digs it out, takes a single next ball. Very important game for Dube. He is yet to leave his mark with the Royals. He has a chance tonight. Only four off the over. Rajasthan Royals need 140 runs in 78 balls

RR 45/2 in 6 Overs: Sam Curran continues. Two runs off the first three balls. Royals have the batting to chase down this total but they would hope these two can take them as close to the target as possible. Jinxed him. GONE! Samson perishes. Curran has his second! The slower ball does the trick again. Shivam Dube joins Buttler.

RR 43/1 in 5 Overs: Chahar continues. His third over in the Powerplay. Buttler plays a picture perfect drive for four. He follows it up with a maximum over long-off. Both knuckleballs being punished by the Englishman. He collects a brace next, does Buttler. 13 off the over.

RR 30/1 in 4 Overs: Sam Curran concedes 1 off the first two balls. SHOT! Vohra gets hold of a length ball and clubs it over deep mid-wicket for six. GONE! Change in field after the previous six and Vohra holes out to Jadeja, who was just placed there! Masterstroke from MS.

RR 22/0 in 3 Overs: Chahar continues. Buttler gets a single. Chahar is already taking pace off the ball. That seems to be the modus operandi on this wicket. Meanwhile, Buttler has played a controlled pull shot for four. Buttler ends with a brace.

RR 14/0 in 2 Overs: Sam Curran into the attack. Slip in place. Two swing bowlers sharing the new ball. No movement for Curran either. He nearly had Buttler, did Curran. Thakur at short third leapt high and got his hands to the ball but it didn't stick. Excellent over. Three off it.

RR 11/0 in 1 Over: Manan Vohra and Jos Buttler to start the chase. Chahar with the new ball. Buttler on strike. He gets off the mark with a boundary. Buttler collects a brace next ball. No swing. Chahar is searching for movement but there has been none so far. Vohra plays a fabulous shot to deep backward point for four. 11 off the over.

- RUN CHASE -

Good finish from Bravo. His 8-ball 20 vaults CSK to 188. Props to Rajasthan though. Their bowlers did well for the large part. At one point, when Rayudu and Raina were going well, CSK looked set for a total in excess of 200. But RR kept chipping away. Sakariya got 3 for 36. He removed Raina, Rayudu, and Dhoni.  Royals need 189 to win.

- INNINGS BREAK -

CSK 188/9 in 20 Overs : Sam Curran is run out trying to steal a second. Mustafizur bowling the 20th. Shardul Thakur is in next. He is off the mark with a single. The Fizz bowls a no-ball. Free hit for Bravo. He collects two off a ricochet. He gets another couple off the next ball. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur is run out trying to steal a single. Bravo, on strike, did not move an inch. Deepak Chahar comes to the crease. Bravo gets another couple. He finishes off in style, does Bravo - hammers the last ball over long-on for six. 15 off the last over.

CSK 173/7 in 19 Overs : Morris concedes a single first ball. Next delivery, Jaddu gets a boundary to third-man. Morris gets his man - Jadeja has been given out caught behind . Dwayne Bravo comes to the crease and goes inside out over cover for four. Make that two in two. He bowls a wide next ball. Make that two wides. He ends with a yorker. Dot.

CSK 158/6 in 18 Overs : Sakariya is welcomed into the attack with a boundary first ball. MS switching gears. Sakariya has the last laugh! He gets MSD! Sam Curran joins Jaddu. Once again, the slower ball from Sakariya doing the trick. Dhoni went hard at an off-cutter, didn't time it. Curran's first scoring shot is a maximum! Follows it up with a brace. A single off the last ball. 15 off the over.

CSK 143/5 in 17 Overs : Chris Morris is back into the attack. Jaddu gets a single first ball. MS struggling to break free - another single to his name. MS gets one away - hit behind square for four. MS gets a couple off the next ball. MS takes a single off the last ball. 10 off the over.

CSK 133/5 in 16 Overs : Mustafizur is back into the attack. MS collects a couple first ball. Another brace off the next ball. He is still quick as ever, is MS between the wickets. Mustafizur slips in a dot third ball. Ah... nearly a caught and bowled... Dhoni gets a single instead. Just six off the over.

CSK 127/5 in 15 Overs : Rahul Tewatia continues. A close run out call but Dhoni was in. MS is yet to get off the mark. After four dots, MS opens his account with a single. He will keep strike.

CSK 125/5 in 14 Overs : Sakariya back into the attack. Rayudu gets two off the first ball. Sakariya concedes a wide next ball. Rayudu holes out! Big moment in the game. Ravindra Jadeja comes to the crease and gets off the mark with a single straightaway. Sakaria having a field day as he gets rid of the dangerous Raina now! This was overpitched and Raina has punched it into the safe hands of Morris at mid-off. MS Dhoni walks in at No 7. Time for the strategic timeout.

CSK 120/3 in 13 Overs : Jaydev Unadkat is back into the attack. Very good over from JD. Three off the four balls so far. Unadkat was bowling so well. Unfortunately, a top edge off Raina's bat runs away to the fence. Not a boundary ball.

CSK 112/3 in 12 Overs : Tewatia continues. After a dot, Rayudu takes a single and gets off strike. Raina brings up the team 100 with a single. Rayudu has crunched one over deep mid-wicket for six. These two are getting stuck into the part-timers. Next ball, Rayudu goes straight back past the bowler for six more. He is getting a move on. 14 off the over.

CSK 98/3 in 11 Overs : Riyan Parag comes into the attack. Rayudu times one over long-off for six. Parag brings out the slinger. That was mighty close to being called a no-ball. It's a wide. Now Raina muscles one over mid-wicket for six. 16 off the over.

CSK 82/3 in 10 Overs : First sign of spin. Rahul Tewatia into the attack. He strikes! Gets Moeen Ali - he holes out to Parag. Moeen hit it straight to deep midwicket! Rayudu joins Raina. Rayudu off the mark with a couple. Five runs and a wicket.

CSK 77/2 in 9 Overs : Chetan Sakariya is back into the attack. Ali collects a brace each off the first two balls. He then collects 4legbyes. Sakariya concedes a wide next ball. Sakariya is a smart customer - mixing up his pace, keeping the batsmen guessing. 11 came off the over.

- TIME OUT -

CSK 66/2 in 8 Overs : Morris continues . Ali pulls one away for six. Disdainful. What striking from Moeen. Makes one wonder why he was underused during England's tour of India. Good comeback from Morris. Seven off the over.

CSK 59/2 in 7 Overs : Mustafizur returns. Starts off with a wide. Moeen brings up CSK's 50 with a boundary to third-man. Came off a thick edge. He then picks the slower ball and launches one over mid-wicket for six. What a shot. Mustafizur tests Raina with a short ball first up. It's too short and is called a wide. 13 off the over.

CSK 46/2 in 6 Overs : Morris into the attack from over the wicket. Moeen gets a single after two dots. Next ball, Morris gets Faf! Well bowled. Knew Faf was going to give him the charge, bowled it wide. Faf didn't quite get hold of that and hit it straight down  Riyan Parag's throat. Raina joins Moeen. Just two runs and a wicket from that over.

CSK 44/1 in 5 Overs : Unadkat returns. A slip in place for Moeen. He is off the mark with a single. Du Plessis plays his trademark paddle scoop for four. Make that two fours in two. He is turning it on, is Faf. Faf is taking on JD - charging down the wicket and lofting it over long-off for six. Another boundary to end the over. A lofted straight drive. Class from Faf. 19 from that over.

CSK 25/1 in 4 Overs : Mustafizur Rahman into the attack. Slip in place for him. He starts with an inswinger to du Plessis. He picks a single. Gaikwad gives him the charge next ball, wild swing and a miss. Gaikwad's clearly struggling here. He's off for a risky single next ball. Pinching singles this over, these two. Gaikwad's lean run continues. He has holed out off a slower one. Moeen Ali joins Faf. Just three runs and a wicket.

CSK 22/0 in 3 Overs : Unadkat to Gaikwad, he hits it to sweeper point for a single. A single to du Plessis off the next ball. A dot later, Gaikwad's off for a quick single. Both teams would be happy with the way the Powerplay has progressed so far. Faf ups the ante, gives JD the charge and slaps it away past mid-wicket for four. Single to end the over.

CSK 14/0 in 2 Overs : Sakariya to share the new ball. Faf and Gaikwad take a single each off the first two deliveries. A very important game for Gaikwad. He has had a rough start to the season. Meanwhile, Faf gives Sakariya the charge and launches him over long on for six. 76 metres that six.

CSK 5/0 in 1 Over : What a start. Nearly a first-ball wicket for JD! Gaikwad went after a length ball outside off, the outside edge evades the stretched hands of Rahul Tewatia at first slip. Gaikwad off to a jittery start. He gets four for it. Unadkat brings one back into Du Plessis. He is in some rhythm, is JD. Five off the first over.

Out come Gaikwad and du Plessis. Rajasthan Royals fielders in a huddle. Jaydev Unadkat will take the new ball. Gaikwad on strike.

TOSS UPDATE: Rajasthan Royals has won the toss and elected to field

MS Dhoni: "No changes for us. Getting out on good deliveries is okay. Last year would have taught him (Ruturaj Gaikwad) the highs and lows. As support staff, you can motivate all you want but once you are out there, you are on your own. The pitch looks a bit tacky to start with."

Sanju Samson: "We're going to bowl first. It suits well in these conditions. We just need to keep it simple, we trust our team and teammates. We bat really deep. Knowing that you have a deep batting line-up allows you to express yourself. We are playing the same team."
