RR vs DC HIGHLIGHTS

DELHI CAPITALS INNINGS

DC 161/2 in 18.1 overs: Warner bats all the way through to see his side home! Runs three to beat RR by three wickets. Also, gets his fifty in the process.

DC 148/2 in 18 overs: FINALLY! Marsh, who was playing on a different surface when compared to everybody else, holes out to Kuldeep at short fine leg. Pant shimmies down and clubs an 89m six against the turn. Chahal has a wry smile pasted on his lips, perhaps one of acknowledgement. Six more! Pant is in a hurry to head back to the team hotel.

DC 144/1 in 17 overs: Clobbered! That has raced off the green in no time. Marsh's brute strength on display in Navi Mumbai. He does one better, smoking Boult 102 metres deep into the middle tiers. Warner, meanwhile, moves to 48 with a boundary. Marsh is batting on 89.

DC 129/1 in 16 overs: Ashwin to bowl out. Warner greets him with a four. Marsh joins the party with a maximum off a tempting slow, short ball. The unbeaten 127-run stand is now Delhi's best this season.

DC 114/1 in 15 overs: Four! Warner's gone past 400 runs in this season - AGAIN! This is the 8th time he has breached the mark in the IPL. Shows precisely how impactful he has been in this tournament.

DC 105/1 in 14 overs: The century partnership comes up! A good length delivery has been drilled to deep extra cover for four by Warner.

DC 98/1 in 13 overs: Prasidh coming round the wicket. The first ball creeps up on Warner, taking him by surprise. Warner's been taken aback by the off-cutter again but a top-edge lands safely. Marsh is in fine touch tonight, takes on Prasidh and clubs him for two fours on the spin. Timeout!

DC 88/1 in 12 overs: Ashwin convinces Samson to go upstairs after the umpire signals a wide down leg. Warner's fist bump as soon as Samson signalled the 'T' was enough to convey what had transpired. Clear daylight between bat and ball.

DC 83/1 in 11 overs: Marsh gets his first IPL fifty off 38 balls. Gets away with another error as he slices this one high into the night sky. Buttler, near the rope, pops it over the fence while trying to hold onto it.

DC 74/1 in 10 overs: Boult runs in from deep fine-leg, puts in an excellent sliding effort but makes a mess of it all in the last second to concede a four. Delhi riding its luck at the moment.

DC 67/1 in 9 overs: Warner picks the bigger pocket of the ground. Padikkal back-pedals but it sails just over. Another skier falls short of Buttler off the next ball; the England international runs in hard but mistimes his dive at the very last moment. Warner is beaten off the last ball, the bails light up as the ball clipped the leg stump but settled back in the groove. Chahal cannot believe what he is seeing. How he has gone past three missed opportunities of sending Warner back into the hut in the same over is beyond anybody's comprehension.

DC 56/1 in 8 overs: Ashwin keeps things tight in this over, conceding only two runs.

DC 54/1 in 7 overs: Marsh is in the mood tonight. Kuldeep's delivery thuds into the bottom corner of Marsh's blade but a full swing of the bat ensures it sails over for a maximum over long-on. Six again! This one's come right off the meat of the bat. He looks in control as he carts the length ball out of the ground. Time for the strategic timeout as the fifty-run partnership between the Aussie duo comes up.

DC 38/1 in 6 overs: Warner digs out a yorker from Prasidh. Buttler chased it down and pulled it back to save a run. Marsh clears the fine-leg fence with a massive hit. Six! A fielding change by Samson sees one of the men on the offside jog across to midwicket.

DC 28/1 in 5 overs: Marsh almost ends up dragging it onto the sticks. Luckily, it beats Samson on the leg-side to run down to the fence. The Australia all-rounder is living a life on the edge. The New Zealand pacer strays down leg by quite some distance but a timely dive by Samson ensures Boult doesn't end up conceding 5 wides. After Warner picks up four runs through midwicket, Boult bowls another wide.

DC 16/1 in 4 overs: Ashwin's carrom ball disappears for a maximum over long-off. Marsh gets going after the scare last over.

DC 5/1 in 3 overs: Boult to continue. An inswinging yorker shapes in quite late into a clueless Marsh. There is a squeal from Boult but nobody else seems interested. Although it initially seemed like an inside edge onto the pads, turns out it brushed the pads first. HawkEye suggests it would have gone to crash into the base of leg stump. An opportunity goes abegging for RR.

DC 1/1 in 2 overs: Prasidh bowls a maiden over- his third in the IPL.

DC 1/1 in 1 over: Edged and taken! Bharat's gone, while trying to pull a bouncer across the line. Boult strikes early. Marsh joins Warner.

Samson with a few words of wisdom before his boys take the field. Warner and Bharat to open. Boult has the new ball in hand.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS INNINGS

RR 160/6 in 20 overs: Thakur to bowl the last over. Another wide - this one's been banged hard onto the track and it flies over Boult's head. Only six off the last over.

RR 154/6 in 19 overs: Substitute fielder Nagarkoti takes a stunning catch to dismiss Padikkal. The left-handed batter falls two short of his fifty. van der Dussen reaches out for the widish full toss and slices one over mid-on for four.

RR 146/5 in 18 overs: Sakariya gets another! Parag has been deceived by the back-of-the-hand slower delivery. The grip comes off as well as the Assam batter ends up finding Powell at long-on. van der Dussen saunters in at No. 7.

RR 139/4 in 17 overs: Samson falls to the length ball from Nortje. This has been launched into the skies. Thakur runs in and settles underneath at midwicket; takes a tumble but manages to hold on. Parag is the new man. He's hit a cracking six over deep backward square leg - 92 metres! 14 runs come off the over as Padikkal gets four more after Nortje bowls a wide.

RR 125/3 in 16 overs: One bounce and into the fence... Samson has whacked Thakur's very first ball through cover. The fifth delivery is a snorter and Padikkal has swivel-pulled this just past Kuldeep at short fine leg. DDP almost plays the last ball right back to the bowler... fell just short.

RR 116/3 in 15 overs: Ashwin holes out to Warner near the mid-off region. Samson gets off the mark straightaway with a single tucked behind midwicket. With third man and point inside the ring, Padikkal arches back and slices it over for four.

RR 107/2 in 14 overs: We're back after the strategic timeout. The 100 comes up for RR. Ramped over Pant's head! A short ball from Sakariya has been cheekily worked away to the fence by Ashwin. The four brings up the fifty-run stand.Three singles later, Ashwin also gets his half-century.

RR 97/2 in 13 overs: Back-to-back sixes from Padikkal! Gets down on one knee and executes the switch hit over third man. The second one has been hit straight back over the bowler's head.

RR 83/2 in 12 overs: Ashwin goes downtown! Dances down the track and dispatches a looped up delivery from Kuldeep into the stands. Royals score a single off each of the remaining five deliveries.

RR 72/2 in 11 overs: Thakur replaces Marsh. A back-of-a-length delivery hits Ashwin on the grille. Physio John Gloster is out to perform the routine concussion test. Ashwin is okay to carry on. Now Thakur leaves the field to ice his wrist after an attempted catch during his follow-through.

RR 68/2 in 10 overs: A tidy over from Kuldeep. Has managed to keep things quiet. A not-so-confident LBW appeal from Kuldeep off the last ball has been turned down. Replays show the ball pitched in line, but it would have been umpire's call on impact and stumps. Just four off the over.

RR 64/2 in 9 overs: Marsh with the breakthrough! This has been dug into the surface. Jaiswal, cramped for room, backs away and pulls it straight into Lalit's hands at deep midwicket. Padikkal tees off with a square drive for four after the strategic timeout. Another short ball but this time Padikkal has pulled this away fine.

RR 54/1 in 8 overs: Kuldeep Yadav with the ball. Turning away outside off from Jaiswal and he clips it on leg-side for a single. Fifty runs up for Rajasthan in 7.1 overs. A couple more singles follow as Kuldeep keeps it on a length and on the stumps. Ashwin steps out but drags this from outside off to long-on for one more. Slashed away to deep point by Jaiswal for a single. Dot to end the over. Ashwin kneels to sweep but cannot clear the fielder.

RR 49/1 in 7 overs: Marsh into the attack. Ashwin works this full one to fine-leg for a single. Jaiswal gets a thick outside edge to third man for one more. Ashwin miscues the pull but survives as the ball lands in the vacant mid-wicket area for a single. Full on Jaiswal's pads and worked off the pads for a single at long-on. Ashwin cuts between point and cover for another single. Five singles in five balls so far. Make is six as Jaiswal guides this to third man.

RR 43/1 in 6 overs: Axar to bowl the last over of the PowerPlay. Going down leg side first ball but it seemed to have clipped Ashwin's pad and wide is not called. Spinning into Ashwin again on the pads and he tucks it straight to short fine-leg. Width outside off and Ashwin cuts is sharply between cover and point for four runs. Ashwin steps out, gets to the pitch of his half-tracker and tonks this over long-on for half a dozen. Tucked off his pads next ball for one. Jaiswal is beaten on the drive next ball and end of the over.

RR 32/1 in 5 overs: Shardul into the attack. Full outside off, a bit of movement away in the air and Ashwin drives straight to covers. Full on middle and leg and flicked away over mid-wicket for a boundary. Ashwin heaves the next one straight but doesn't time it and just goes to mid-off on the bounce. Glorious shot from Ashwin for four! Stays back and drives this from the crease through the covers with perfect timing. Wide outside off next ball and slashed behind point for one more. Bouncer to end the over.

RR 23/1 in 4 overs: Four! Jaiswal drives this to the long-off fence with the trademark grace of a left-hander. Similar shot but this goes straight to mid-off. Single at point next ball. Ashwin misses the flick on this length ball that angles on the pads. Length ball again, angling in on middle and Ashwin dabs to third man for a single. Short ball angling across outside off and Jaiswal ramps this over third man for a maximum.

RR 11/1 in 3 overs: Sakariya to continue. Starts off by bowling four dot balls to Buttler. Follows those up with a wide down the leg side. The English stumper's struggle comes to an end as he picks out Thakur at mid-on. He walks for 7(11).

RR 10/0 in 2 overs: Nortje tries to start with a yorker but a low full toss sees Buttler welcome him with a drive past the fielder at cover. The South African speedster recovers well to bowl four back-to-back dots.

RR 5/0 in 1 over: Jaiswal, surprisingly, advances down the track in an effort to counter the very first delivery. He is left surprised by a bouncer from an alert Sakariya. The second delivery is an inswinger which deviates down the leg-side. It's been called a wide. Sakariya gets the fourth delivery to hold its line and it has just brushed the back pad of Buttler. There is a loud appeal for caught behind but Pant decides not to opt for the early DRS. A single off the last ball means RR maintains its record of being the only side to have not lost a wicket in the first over.

Buttler and Jaiswal to open the batting for Rajasthan. Sakariya will get things rolling for Delhi.

WHAT THEY SAID

Sanju Samson: Would love to put up a good score here. We have one change. Rassie comes in place of Hetty (Hetmyer).  We have been playing some good cricket and we would like to continue with that. Looks like a good surface. Might be a bit sticky to start with.

Rishabh Pant: We will bowl. It is dry and there maybe dew later so we are looking to capitalise. Anything between 140-160 will be good.  Ripal Patel replaces Lalit Yadav. Chetan Sakariya comes in for Khaleel Ahmed .

Delhi Capitals opt to bowl.

RR vs DC PITCH REPORT

"Whether the dew will come in remains to be seen. There are big pockets to my left. There's an even covering of grass apart from one or two areas. It's rock hard but very, very dry. In just a few inches to the side, there is grass. So one ball will spin and one ball will go straight through. I think it will be very tricky to bat later on. If I were to win the toss, I would bat first, try and post 150-160 which at the latter stage of the IPL has proved to be a very good total," reckons Graeme Swann.

RR vs DC MATCH PREVIEW

After a massive setback to their bid to make it to the playoffs, Delhi Capitals will aim to show more flexibility and resilience to defeat Rajasthan Royals at the DY Patil Stadium on Tuesday. A spot in the playoffs will be a possibility even if the Capitals are defeated, but all the remaining games will have to be won and other results have to go their way.

The Capitals were lacklustre with both bat and ball against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Khaleel Ahmed’s spell was a lone bright spot, and he will be expected to hit similar lengths and create similar angles to unsettle the Royals batting line-up. And if his efforts are backed up by the profligate Shardul Thakur and Anrich Nortje, it could make a huge difference.

Coach Ricky Ponting will expect the batters to take more responsibility than they did against the Super Kings. Royals’ well-oiled bowling outfit will come hard at them but patience and graft could help them succeed. Prithvi Shaw is set to miss another game as he hasn’t yet come back from the hospital.

For the Royals, Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna will be the key bowlers to watch out for. A win will likely lift them to second in the points table.

Spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will come face to face for the second time. The mini-battle between them could prove to be the difference between the sides if the contest is tight.
