Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor V.V.S. Laxman said his side needs characters like Wriddhiman Saha, who is making a comeback following an injury lay-off.

With less than 48 hours left for their first match of the Indian Premier League at the Eden Gardens here, Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor V.V.S. Laxman highlighted some of his key players.

Laxman was pleased with the fitness and rhythm of Australian David Warner. "Warner is looking positive. It was unfortunate what happened in Cape Town last year. I am sure he is looking forward to contribute to Sunrisers. He has been a premier batsman for us."

Laxman was also happy with the return of wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha following an long injury layoff. "He worked hard on his fitness and in the practice matches, he was in good rhythm. He had good performances in Mushtaq Ali Trophy along with Shreevats Goswami. Last year, I was really impressed with the way Saha played with a broken finger when he kept in the (playoff) match against KKR here.

"There is character in Saha and in Sunrisers we encourage characters because you want players who are committed to the team and Saha is one of the most committed players I have seen. It's great to have him back,” said Laxman.
