After two years of suspension, the Chennai Super Kings returned to the Indian Premier League (IPL) fold with a bang — winning the title.

To celebrate the victory, the Chennai Super Kings players decided to visit Chennai to spend time with fans. While there will be a gala dinner at a city hotel on Monday night, the Super Kings players looked excited as they left for Chennai with the trophy.

“Enroute Chennai #whitslepodu,” wrote Raina on Instagram, putting up a picture of him along with Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar and Stephen Fleming.

Interestingly, another city franchise — Chennaiyin FC — won the Indian Super League this year, and the players returned home in Chennai with a thunderous welcome. And fans are expected to show even more love when the Men in Yellow land in the city at 4.15pm. After all, it’s after years that the Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men won the title.
