It was a day with a difference for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketers — R. Vinay Kumar, Ishank Jaggi, Javon Searles and Cameron Delport — as they inaugurated a health camp for the slum dwellers, on Sunday.

Joining hands with Meer Foundation—a charity foundation, run by Shah Rukh Khan—and Smile Foundation, Knight Riders will be organising a series of 12 health camps across the state, to help the people living beyond the poverty line.

With a team of doctors present in the camps, the programme hopes to create health awareness among the slum children. To ensure that the youngsters take the health issues seriously, the Knight Riders cricketers interacted with the youngsters during the camp.
