Kohli and Pant later had a chat and punched gloves as the match went on without further ado.

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli, on Sunday, was engaged in an animated chat with Delhi Capitals seamer Ishant Sharma and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant in the fifth over of RCB's run-chase after a thick outside edge off Kohli's bat was caught by a diving Pant, or so he thought.

Both Sharma and Pant started celebrating even as Kohli, who was following the ball to the glove, laughed off the appeal. The on-field umpire gave it not out and reviewed. Delhi's joy was short-lived with the replays showing Pant grabbing the ball on the bounce.

Kohli and Pant later had a chat and punched gloves as the match continued without further ado. Kohli fell in the eighth over, caught by the deep square-leg fielder after he played the pull shot off left-arm spinner Axar.

RCB eventually surrendered to a 16-run defeat, thus crashing out of this edition of the IPL.
