Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme has informed that opening batsman Chris Lynn, who has been out of action due to an injury, is on the path of recovery. Addressing a press conference on the eve of KKR’s Indian Premier League match against Rising Pune Supergiant, de Grandhomme hinted that the Australian, who made an impact with his explosive batting early in the event, might be seen playing sooner than later. “Lynn is trying to get back as fast as he can. He is training today,” de Grandhomme said on Tuesday.

Asked about KKR’s plans to restrict RPS’ English all-rounder Ben Stokes, who hammered 63-ball 103 against Gujarat Lions on Monday, de Grandhomme said, “We just got to execute our plans and try to bowl to areas where he is not as strong and hopefully get him out early. Later in the evening, Lynn was back at the nets at the Eden Gardens, batting for close to half an hour despite a heavily strapped left shoulder.
