Billings celebrates after completing his half century against KXIP on Saturday.

Delhi Daredevils hammered Kings XI Punjab by 51 runs to register its second successive win in the Indian Premier League at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi on Saturday.

It was a mixture of some exceptional performances with the bat for the Delhi Daredevils by Sam Billings and Corey Anderson.

But the player of the match was Sam Billings as he handled the Delhi innings with maturity scoring a crucial 55-run knock including nine boundaries to keep the momentum going for Delhi.

Billings held onto his innings and played a major part in providing a platform for the other batsmen to take charge in the final overs.

In the last four overs Corey Anderson made all the difference with a blistering 39-run cameo including three sixes which took Delhi's total to 188.

Chasing a target of 189, KXIP got off to a worst possible start when Shahbaz Nadeem took two early wickets sending off Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha cheaply. It was Amit Mishra's turn to show up as he got rid of Maxwell for the fourth time in five innings.

In the end it was all over for KXIP when Corey Anderson dismissed David Miller.
